Released by earMUSIC in 2011, this remastered reissue of Savatage’s eighth studio album, Handful of Rain (originally released in 1994), comes in a Digipak with an expanded 12-page booklet featuring lyrics and liner notes.

Following the tragic loss of founding guitarist Criss Oliva in late 1993, Handful of Rain marked a pivotal emotional turning point for the band. Written by Jon Oliva and producer Paul O'Neill, the album blends heavy metal power with progressive rock storytelling, featuring lead vocals by Zak Stevens and guitar work by Alex Skolnick (Testament). It introduced progressive classics like "Chance"—the band’s first use of multi-part counterpoint vocal arrangements that would later define their sound and spawn Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

This 2011 remaster includes two acoustic bonus tracks: an acoustic version of "Summer's Rain" recorded by Jon Oliva in 2011, and an acoustic version of "Believe".
