Originally released in 1987, Hall of the Mountain King is widely celebrated as Savatage’s breakthrough album and a definitive classic of American power/heavy metal. It marked the band's first collaboration with producer Paul O'Neill, launching the symphonic, progressive evolution that would later define their sound and spawn the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Driven by Jon Oliva’s powerful vocals and Criss Oliva’s legendary guitar riffing, the record includes iconic metal anthems like the title track (which interpolates Edvard Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King"), "24 Hrs. Ago," and "Legions".

This 2022 earMUSIC LP release was mastered specifically for vinyl, pressed on 180g heavyweight vinyl, and housed in a gatefold sleeve with printed lyrics and extensive liner notes written by Clay Marshall.
